It's time to get the Eclipse newspaper out into Stockton. Come join us for our next distribution event for Eclipse #2.
Location: Stockton High Street (corner of Dovecot Street near Dawson and Sanderson)
Meet us at the corner of the High Street/Dovecot Street where we'll have a cup of tea, chat about the project and load ourselves with papers before hitting the streets and bus station to get papers into people's hands.
Not done this kind of thing before? Don't worry, we will give everyone a quick induction into the day, with pointers on how to approach people, what topics are covered in the paper, answers to the kind of questions people ask about the project. And of course we will be there at all times.
What to wear and what to bring: Remember to wrap up warm, it's the autumn and even on sunny days we are likely to get a bit cold. Hats, gloves and scarves are advisable. There will be places to shelter today, but if it is raining an umbrella or anorak may also be a good idea. We will station someone with a stack of papers throughout the event so you can always leave your extra layers with them.
Arriving late? Not to worry. The team may have spread out but there will always be someone stationed with the stack of papers and a friendly face. Embarrassed by how late you are arriving? Don't be! We will be so happy to see you and an injection of fresh energy is always totally mint.
We have a small pot of money to help with transport costs for anyone who needs it.
Clearly this is a free event, but we are trying to keep information about who has come to help us where so that we can keep in touch etc. So if you can, R.S.V.P. please do.
